Barcode Content Application Scope Detailed introduction Jan 24, 2018

There are two types of bar code, one dimension code and two dimension code.
Common barcode types are
One dimension code: Code39 code (standard 39 yards), Codabar code (KUDBA code), Code25 code (standard 25 code), ITF25 code (cross 25 code), Matrix25 code (Matrix 25 code), upc-a code, UPC-E code, EAN-13 Code (EAN-13 International Commodity Bar Code), EAN-8 code (EAN-8 International Commodity Barcode), China Post code (a variant of the Matrix 25 yards), Code-b code, MSI code,, CODE11 code, Code93 Code, ISBN code, ISSN code, Code128 Code (Code128 code, including EAN128 code), Code39ems (EMS-specific 39 yards), etc.
Two-dimensional code: PDF417 Code, QR Code, Code49 Code, Code 16K code, Data matrix code, Maxicode code, etc.

At present, the international wide use of the type of bar code has EAN, UPC code (commodity bar code, used in the world to uniquely identify a commodity. We are the most common in supermarkets this bar code, Code39 code (can represent numbers and letters, the most widely used in the field of management), ITF25 code (in the Logistics management of more applications), Codebar code (more for Medical, book field), Code93 code, Code128 code. Among them, EAN code is the world's most widely used commodity bar code, has become the basis for electronic data interchange (EDI); The UPC code is mainly used in the United States and Canada; in all kinds of barcode application system, Code39 code is widely used in the internal management of various industries because it can be composed of numbers and letters. Codebar codes are also widely used in the banking, library and photo gallery operations.
In addition to the above enumerated one-dimensional barcode, two-dimensional bar code has also been rapidly developing, and in mobile phones, networks and many other fields to find applications.
One-dimensional barcode carries a limited amount of information, such as goods on the bar code can only accommodate 13 digits (EAN-13 code) Arabic numerals, more information can only rely on the support of commodity databases, leaving the pre-established database, this bar code is meaningless, so to a certain extent also limits the application of bar code. For this reason, in the 90 's invented two-dimensional barcode. Two-dimensional bar code in addition to the advantages of one-dimensional bar code, but also a large amount of information, high reliability, confidentiality, strong security and so on.
As a new information storage and transmission technology, two-dimensional barcode has been paid much attention by the international community since its birth. After several years of efforts, has been used in national defense, public safety, transportation, health care, industry, commerce, Finance, customs and government management and other fields.
